Thanington Resource Centre is a small and highly successful registered charity at the heart of our community.
While room hire remains our main source of income we also work closely with partners, granting bodies, and generous donors to ensure our services continue to meet the needs of local people.
Thanington is a community that faces real challenges yet it is also proud, resilient, and deeply protective of this space. In more than 20 years we have had no graffiti, damage, or vandalism — a powerful reflection of the trust we have built and the value the Centre holds for local residents.
By choosing to use our facilities you help us provide extensive youth and community activities, food support, opportunities for personal development, daily help, advocacy, and local employment. Your support strengthens the services that matter most to the people of Thanington.

Canterbury Meeting Room Hire
We have a wide range of rooms, layouts and settings, which can be adapted to meet the needs and requirements of your group, meetings, activity or training. It is a fully accessible, welcoming building with clean, light and airy rooms and amenities. It is always appropriately staffed and there is no need for you to be a key holder. Whether it is training, meetings, 1:1 work, interview panels, counselling or office space, it is always a safe, professional and friendly environment to work in.
Youth Zone
The Thanington Youth Club has a 246 square metre Youth Space with a Table Tennis table, Pool Tables, Games Consoles, Dart Boards, Television, and a small Tuck Shop. All staff and volunteers are DBS checked (Disclosures and Barring Service, formerly CRB). We ensure that male and female members of staff are available during all youth sessions and on all trips.
