Built in 2000, Thanington
Neighbourhood Resource Centre is a fully accessible community centre
situated approximately 1 mile from the centre of the cathedral city,
Canterbury.
Many groups and organisations use
the Centre, catering for a variety of needs and interests for all sections of
the local and wider-community.
The
facility is surrounded by Thanington sports park which has football
pitches, basketball court, children's play areas and good parking
facilities forming a focal point for the surrounding community.
The Centre has
3 main
function rooms that can be used for conferencing, meetings,
workshops or training utilising the in-house IT network.
We also have
the usual
office facilities such as fax and photocopying plus a small
community cafe.
The Centre provides a
modern, attractive non-smoking environment and can cater for groups
up to 50, with training/meeting and resources/refreshments in a
variety of settings.
We have a safe private
garden area and access to creche workers and toys.
The rooms are available
for hire at very competitive rates.
